Our Story
Texture My Way® was founded in 2020 by Alicia Johnson, a curly girl herself who struggled for years to find products that worked for her hair. After trying every product under the sun, Alicia realized that most mainstream brands don’t understand the unique needs of curly and wavy hair. She made it her mission to create products specifically formulated for curly hair textures.
While researching ingredients and formulas, Alicia worked closely with chemists to design products that provide definition, moisture, and frizz control without weighing hair down. She insisted on using natural, safe ingredients free from harsh sulfates, parabens, and silicones. Alicia tested the products extensively on her own hair as well as gathered feedback from a diverse community of curly haired testers.
After years of dedication and many rounds of adjustments, Alicia finally perfected the Texture My Way® Curl Keeper line of products. The response from curly girls was overwhelmingly positive. They raved about how the products transformed their curls and made styling so much easier. Alicia knew then that she had created something special that would truly change the way people care for their curls.
Our Formulas
All Texture My Way® products are specially designed for wavy, curly, and coily hair textures. Our founder carefully selected each ingredient to nourish, define, and enhance your curls.
We use only the highest quality natural ingredients like aloe vera, coconut oil, shea butter, and agave nectar to provide hydration while avoiding buildup. Our formulas are free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, and other harsh chemicals that can dry out and damage curly hair.
Our unique curl-loving formulas include:
